I was diagnosed with DCIS and was recommended mastectomy with reconstruction. I searched to find a competent consultant who could achieve the best result for me and Mr Smith did not disappoint. It was clear from the initial consultation with Mr Smith, that he was extremely experienced, highly knowledgeable, confident, pragmatic and empathetic to my diagnosis and personal situation as a mother to young children. I underwent a single mastectomy with direct Pre pectoral implant. The visual result of my operation has been much better than I had anticipated and healing has been uneventful with minimal pain. I can only thank Mr Smith for his expertise and his exceptional team that looked after me.

Simon Smith changed my life. He gave me my natural breasts back after almost two decades of having unwanted implants that a controlling husband convinced me to have. Simon was very compassionate right from the start, listened to my story and at every appointment I never felt rushed, he gave me as much time as needed. Even though I was approaching my 70th birthday at the time of my operation he never made me feel unworthy of wanting small pert breasts again and took great care to make them look as perfect as possible and I love them! I actually chose Simon Smith to perform this operation as he was the surgeon to a very close friend of mine suffering breast cancer a few years earlier. I accompanied her to a couple of appointments and could see how amazing he was with alleviating her fears, so I would have no hesitation on recommending him.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon Smith after he performed breast reduction surgery on me in September. His skill and care have been wonderful from my very first appointment to my post surgery appointment. My only regret is that I didn’t have it done years ago!

I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in Oct. 2020 at the one stop breast clinic where I met Simon and team. From start to finish Simon was reassuring and kind but pragmatic and professional. The finished result after breast conserving surgery is more than I could have hoped for. 7 months on after a bout of chemotherapy and radiotherapy my new breasts and I are ready to take on the world once more :-). This is a testimony to Simon's skill as a surgeon and the Oncology team at Springfields Hospital. I can't thank or praise them all enough!
